Occasionally, due to an oversight at check-in, we find items on the sales floor that do not meet these standards. Upscale Kids Sale reserves the right to remove these items and leave them unsorted at sale end. These items will be marked with an "x" on the tag.
Items We Accept (and those we don't)
When we say 'upscale', we mean it. We go through each and every item that is consigned to make sure it is of the utmost quality. Below is a list of the items we accept at our sale and those we do not. We want our shoppers to know they find quality items at our sale. If we bring in serious shoppers, as Consignors we make more money!
All items must be current and in excellent, clean, and odor-free condition with no signs of wear and no damage such as pilling, tears, holes, missing buttons, dysfunctional zippers, and stains. Games and toys must have all the parts to complete the set, etc. Make sure you have scrutinized each item as though YOU were going to buy it.
Since we have only one sale per year, we accept summer and winter items at the sale, and everything in-between.
Every item will be checked during drop-off and any unacceptable items will be sent home with the Consignor. Please do not be offended if we ask you to take back some of your items. We will be screening very closely so as to maintain the upscale quality of the sale. We reserve the right to refuse any item that we feel may not sell. It is often easy to miss a spot or tear when you are getting your items ready at home. We want to be known for having the best quality merchandise and we want you as a purchaser to have confidence that you are buying the best at Upscale Kids Sale.
We will be plugging in all electrical items and checking items that use batteries. You may keep your batteries or leave the batteries in the item and price your item accordingly.
All merchandise should be in GREAT condition and neatly hung on hangers. Items need to be tagged with the online tagging system. If you have any questions about items you are not sure about, please contact us.
Use safety pins to pin tags to the clothing items. Do NOT use STAPLES OR STRAIGHT PINS! As a side note, the safety pins you can buy at the Dollar Store are not very hardy. It is best to spend a slight bit more and get the good safety pins.
Please understand, Upscale Kids Sale will not be responsible for loss or damage of Consignors' items. We will always do our very best to insure that your items are safe and cared for.
Please see the list below for further explanations of acceptable/non-acceptable items.
Consignor must check this list to ensure that they are not consigning any recalled items. It is important to us that only safe products are offered to our customers, therefore we ask that each Consignor carefully check that none of their items have been recalled before bringing them to our event. As the seller/owner of an item, it is the CONSIGNOR'S RESPONSIBILITY to ensure that each item meets the required safety standards. You will certify that items you bring to the sale have not been recalled and meet safety guidelines when you sign your Consignor Agreement. Thank you for putting the safety of our children first and foremost!
